Earlier today my biological sister hands me the phone and says, "Here, it's an Alpha Phi. You don't know her." I was a bit confused about that but figured it may have to do with the alumnae chapter I am getting together here.

Well, turns out it was an Alpha Phi who just moved to Corpus Christi and was looking for sisters in the area. She received my information from HQ. She is a Naval pilot and will only be here for four months for training. Although she won't be able to be a permanent member of our alumnae association, she is very enthusiastic about helping start the chapter.

She and I are meeting for drinks tomorrow evening. I can't wait! http://www.plauder-smilies.de/jump.gif

I have fun meeting up with Phi's all around the country while I travel. I am in Dallas this week and had dinner with 2 Phi's last night.

Well, she ended up cancelling. She does not know her schedule until the evening before, so she found out a few hours before we were supposed to me that she was flying at 5am the next morning. :( Not to worry because we plan on getting together soon. :D

Jaime called me this evening and asked if I would like to meet tonight. I told her that we were having a little get-together at my house tonight to watch The Bachelor and invited her over. I told her we were having lots of food and she said that would be perfect because she was starving. She came over and it was cool. We got to eat, watch the show, and talk about the alumnae chapter we are starting up. She was the president of the chapter at Duke last year I think, or perhaps the year before that, and because of her experience, she had some awesome ideas about the chapter. We already have our first event planned! Woo hoo!! I can't wait for this chapter to get going! :)

Laura,

A change in your post count can be caused by several things:

1. Sometimes when moderators delete forums it changes your posting count.
2. GC just seems to lose some of our posts. (We had an incident about a year ago when GC went down for a while and whole bunch of posts were lost.)
3. GC has not been all that great lately at updating post counts. For some reason when it slows down and kicks you off, etc. it also messes up counting your posts.

I don't know if any or all of the above are true in your situation but I'd send a PM to John and let him know.
