I saw 8 Mile

I went and saw 8 Mile last night and actually liked it! Not that it was a movie that the 7 year olds in the audience should have seen but it was a good movie. There were some Detroit area references that I doubt others would get but all in all, I would recommend it. Anyone else see it?

Yeah, I saw it on Friday...it's a great movie.

My favorite part was the battle at the end. I usually dislike "freestyles", but damn B Rabbit was hella funny.

I went and saw it last night. There were a bunch of kids in our theater too. One of them couldn't have been over 5. As the crowd was walking out, someone shouted out to one of their parents "I hope your kid like the sex scene!"

I thought it was a pretty good movie, but not worth all the hype it got. The end was great but they should have cut about 20 minutes out of the middle somewhere.

Karen... which theater did u go see it at? We're goin to Star Fairlane as a sorta sister outing. I'm kinda afraid to go see it at Fairlane cuz u know the crowd there. But I'm soooo excited to go see it!

I LOVED THE MOVIE.. we had a wicked good time, and almost everyone i've talked to loved it too.. :) the ending was kinda sucky, but the movie rocked.

I saw it on opening night! It was awesome!
Being from Michigan, I fully appreciated all the Detroit-area references. Especially...
"Yeah! 313!"
"Hey man, you're from 810!"

-or-

"Go back to 16 mile!"

LOL

I saw it at Star Gratiot. It was an odd crowd, a lot of people who didn't want to go to Beacon in Eastpointe seemed to have gone there.

This is actually something I thought I might be interested in seeing... I think I'll wait it out though :D

And ADPiViolets you might want to take the spaces out of the bracketed parts of your signature so that the letters show up like you want them to... ;)

I saw it and loved it. I think Em did a good job, and he is quite talented. Or maybe it is the severe physical attraction I have to him, lol.

A vulnerable bad boy...mmm...

;)

I thought it was good.. .although I had built it up so much that there was no way it could have met all my expectations.

But, seeing Eminem for two hours was enough to make me happy!

And on that note, did anyone else see 8 and younger at Jackass? What kind of parents do they have?

Hey! I'm 810! or actually 586 now. I havent seen the movie yet but I heard it's good. Everyone says the ending sucked though.

Imthechamp 11-11-2002 03:29 AM

What did they expect? A big fairy tale ending with him getting millions?

That would be so unreal. The ending is perfect.

My friends told me about that part and I had to laugh because when I lived in Michigan I had a 313 and an 810 area code, lol. I can't wait to see this movie even though I've heard a lot of mixed reviews
