What makes a GLO stand out ....

What up GLO world!? What do you folks think makes a GLO stand out? On a campus, San Francisco, with mad folks of different faces-Europeans, Asians, Africans, Filipinos, and etc. there are ways of people of all cultures to mix. Now, this is the trippy part with all the GLOs on my campus-most-not all are singled race. Why, beats the hell out of me-probably why I believe my chapter stands out. My chapter, Epsilon Theta, of Phi Kappa Tau IS THE MOST DIVERSED fraternity on the campus. I think being the diverse GLO makes us stand out.

You stand out for what you're people are known for. We pride ourselves on being very traditionally gentlemanly towards ladies, etc. We are also a fairly diverse group (all white right now but from VERY different socioeconomic backgrounds).

A GLO stands out as being able to promote brother or sisterhood between a group of diverse people that are away from home, often for the first time, giving them the sense of family around them they need to succeed.

Good luck to your chapter down at San Fransisco. I am a double legacy of Phi Tau (my father, 1971-74 at Bradley University, IL; and my brother, 1996-2000 at Nebraska Wesleyan, NE) but there are no chapters at the school I am at.

Our Chapter is the most diverse of any greek organization on campus. we have members from different races who believe in the principles that was set forth by the founders. :D

Well, we are the largest sorority on campus... most of our girls are very involved in other campus activities as well. We are fairly diverse (relative to this campus, which is not diverse in general). We have a few girls with minority backgrounds and one girl from Brazil. We are a well-rounded house though and I think that is important--we have girls with varieties of interests that provide support for this or that, and we have strong alum support that help us keep our house looking good. And while as a material possession our house is not that important, our care for it is an extension of our caring and sisterly personalities that characterize my chapter.

I don't think this stands on its own as being a trait of ours, but we happen to be very close with a couple of the larger more popular fraternities and I think that tends to publicize US too.
