Hey BUCutie,
You're absolutely right. I pledged in the mid 60's and have seen this from both sides. I don't see any indication that hazing did anything to strengthen the fraternal bond. Good luck to you. DeltAlum |
WHAT?!
I am so sorry, but i dont think ANY fraternity/sorority is worth it if you have to go through hazing! It is just so shocking to me that there are a few people that have actually said they have gone through hazing! I never in my right mind would let someone beat me or even verbally haze me! I am not in a sorority at the moment, but if i do get a bid when i rush- i will not tolerate being hazed in any way! I can understand how some girls may feel like "well if i had to go through it, then she does too!" BUT the first girl shouldnt of had to go through that to begin with. It is not worth getting hit just to say that you are now officially a sister of ABC- and can wear the letters. This is so disturbing to me!!
