I know the Lambda Chis here do a hell of a lot of work for the food drive - it's a good nationwide philanthropy, seems to be very productive.

That's HUGE! 5 tons of food..

I took one case of cans down and still ahve 3 in teh trunk of the H car that could not get down to deliver.

Chapter was looking to get 5,000 lbs!

Have not heard from them as of yet!

Well up here in Toronto we have managed to raise just shy of 36,000 lbs so far.... we still have to tallying to do but we should reach at least 40,000 which is still shy of our goal of 60,000......

All this with a chapter of 27.

That is AWESOME... at our school they do "Greek Bowl" to collect cans and money. Mostly for the sororities, each one has a team of girls with 2-3 guys as coaches. And we play powderpuff football (it gets rough).. but we get points on how many cans we bring in, how much money our 'Greek Bowl Queen Representative' makes (we put cans with their picture on it in the student union), banner competition, dance/cheer competition, AND how we do in the football. It's a great time.

Thats us last year!!

Not that I was there to help (was in New Orleans for a wedding), but my undergraduate chapter raised 52,000 lbs. of food. I am quite proud of them. Our goal was 25,000 lbs. and each member averaged 800 lbs. Congrats to all who helped in the event nationwide.
