chapter retreat
Hi everyone!
I'm the vp: programming for DG at Butler University in Indianapolis. I'm planning our chapter retreat (Nov. 17) and was just wondering if anyone had some fun ideas of locations to hold our chapter retreat. The theme for this year is DGMTV with stations like "Kidnapped: save your sister with DG knowledge" and "Sorority Life: overcoming panhellenic stereotypes." I'm really excited about retreat but need a fun place to hold it and a fun activity to do afterwards. I have about $800 in my budget for the day. In the past we have had a kindergarten theme held at an elementary school (with Happy Meals for lunch) and we all went bowling afterward for a sisterhood social. Please let me know if you have any ideas...I would REALLy appreciate them!:) loveITB, *Erin* |
The best retreat we did was that we went to the national headquarters in columbus and visited there and then we stayed at a hotel because they helped us find a cheap rate. We had a Dr. Suess theme, it was called DG:All the places you will go. i have a really cute activity with three of the story books that demonstrate leadership abilities. If you are interested in it then just email me, and i will send them to you. We also did an activity called the roommate game that really helps to buld sisterhood. Just let me know if you are interested. Thanks, ITB, Erin Quillen

We have our retreat this Friday the 8th. It is an overnight lasting from 10pm to 8am. It is being held at the newly built YMCA. Hopefully it will be tons of fun.
