Death of the Internet imminent???
 

i seriously doubt the internet will "die".. that would be like majorly backwards.

Yeah I don't forsee HOW they could get away with this sort of thing. It would cost WAY too much for people to afford it. Immagine a family of six (like mine). That's rediculous that they'd have to pay more because obviously they'd use more bandwidth. And then how about colleges and universities? Are they going to have to charge students to use the computers at school? That's just silly.

The internet allows people to multitask...talk to coworkers/relatives/friends, search, get the latest news/weather/sports, and other such necessities!

I just don't see how the public will embrace this and accept it. The minute they go to a system like this I'll pull the plug on my internet and use my phone more!

HMmmmph!

Nobody owns the internet. That's what makes it great. The fact is if these people went through with something like this (and they're making money off the current system) someone else would come along and start doing what they used to do and steal all of their subscribers.

The free market I'm sure will keep this from happening.
