Red Carnation Ball

I was just wondering when everyone else is going to throw their RCB's. I -think- the guys here are shooting for early Feb. Hopefully they won't have to cancel it like the did last year *growls*.

Beats me I am sure it will be in March like usual.

Daytona Beach! How lucky are they? lol :) I guess every year our guys have it, it is held at the hotel across from my house..not very umm...different.

our RCB is being held at the Royal Canadian Army Officers Mess, it is really gorgeous and because it is military no tax on drinks.

the Omicron-Sigma RCB is normally held in June so I have a while but I would love to hear your ideas

Well, the guys have two formals per year... their Winter Formal and RCB. Everyone likes to invite the alumni back for RCB (and Winter Formal, but RCB is just a bigger deal), so they provide a place where alumni might want to bring their families, etc. Everyone spends the whole weekend there and it's a good time.

Last year it was in Sarasota (Lido Beach actually), and the year before it was in Key Largo.

You have to remember though that I actually go to school in Florida. Otherwise we wouldn't be going to Daytona.

I just wanted to say I got mad love for the Alpha Phi I love the woman of that sorority and they are always simply wonderful to us tekes

Our RCB is in March and we are having it in the mountains of NC or VA........hopefully it will be toned down a bit (money-wise), because it still feels like I am paying off my RCB bill from last year in Savannah

Rio_Kohitsuji 11-05-2002 04:58 PM

I hope everyone's RCB goes awesomely (<-- is that even a word?) :) This will be my bf's first year, he was a pledge last time they had it and then they canceled it last year. :(
Oh, do me a fav and make sure to tell your date in case it's canceled..I had just bought a gorgeous dress for it just to find it to be canceled at last minute

Make sure to post pics of all yours!!

Well, now you can wear it to this year's formal. Or better yet, your own (since I know you're trying to start a local). :D

Thanks tkeos443 for the kind words. Right back at 'cha!

Sarasota, huh? That's where I'm originally from... well, Holmes Beach/Anna Maria Island to be exact, which is pretyt much 15-30 minutes away from Sarasota.

The Nu-Mu Chapter usually holds their RCB in the end of April, roughly 1 1/2 weeks before our annual Tiki Island party, at which we dig a pool in our back yard and chill in it for the day before the summer. Good times.

We were actually at Lido Key... beautiful beach! The water in Melbourne is so murky from all the sand, I couldn't believe how crystal clear the water was there. I just said Sarasota because no one was going to know where Lido Key was (except for locals such as yourself).

Nu-Mu356 11-09-2002 04:39 AM

yeah, but i saw Sarasota, so I made the connection. I've never been to Lido Key... only drove past it a few times. Heard it's nice though. Where I live the water is really murky but if you go out a bit of the wa on a boat it gets crystal clear
