Costume Ideas...HELP!!
 

Okay guys...I need your help! I've been invited to a Lambda Chi halloween date function and my date and I need a kick-ass costume! Any ideas? It needs to be something easy to put together, and cheap. I also can't wear anything too scandalous (my house would greatly dissapprove) we want to go as something that goes together in a pair....please help me!

my roommate and i are going as a cowboy (me) and an indian... granted we are both girls... but it'd be a cute idea for him to be hte cowboy, and u could be the cute liil indian. however, i've been told that guys are a sucker for a girl in a cowboy hat (thus the backing for my costume)

Wear matching shirts that have the letter "P" on them...and put makeup on your eyes so it looks like you have a black eye...

ok call this cheesy... but watch "Never Been Kissed" with Drew Barrymore. If you have seen the movie, remember the prom theme was famous couples thruout history. I thought there were some funny costume ideas there. Just a thought...

theres always the schoolgirl and teacher thing. you can make it as dirty (or not) as you prefer

Dress in all black, have your date dress in all blue. Tell everyone that you're a bruise (black & blue). Saw that on TV last year...can't remember the show now. :) It's cheesy, I know!

You could be super man and supergirl, just wear red and blue, get some fabric to make capes and the S design for the front of your shirt!!!

I am going to be Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and my sister is going to be Belle (Beauty and the Beast). I wonder if mermaids are as offended at my costume as I am at the Native American costumes. :rolleyes: I guess if it was Pocohontas it would be different but it just doesn't sit right with me. Anyhow, I mean no offense to anyone out there reading who may be a mermaid.


Why not wrap toilet paper around your heads and into a cone. You could go as a conehead and consume mass quantaties. Toilet paper is muy cheap! ;)

Wear concert t-shirts and shorts and go as Beavis and Butt-Head.

.......a joint! He made this huge paper machet costume that actually had a battery pack and everything so it would look lit up and some sort of smoke machine thing so it would have a trail of smoke comming out of it. It was actually very impressive. He couldn't drive with it on -it was way over 6 feet tall after you put it on, so we had to take a convertable car b/c he didn't want to get dressed at the party. We looked ridiculous going down the street! Everyone at the party was amazed.

Back to the cheap and easy ideas-go as a nerd. Wear really ulgy out of date clothes and glasses with tape on them. The kicker is black socks with brown sandles. Stick a calculator and some pencils in your pocket and you are good to go.The "I slept in my ponytail and I don't own make up" look will top it off nicely.
