Playboy, tattoos, and sorority bashing

I was looking thru the new playboy and saw a section called girls with tattoos liked to get pricked. They have pictures of many types of tattoos and decribe what type of girl she is sexually by the tattoo she has. One tattoo has the DZ letters on a butt cheek. They call the type of tattoo "Sorority letters on ass cheek" They say the meaning of the tattoo is "greek for bitch club". They say the implications are "will do anything to be socially accepted, including body mutilation". Under the sex catergory it says "Tell here the BMW is yours and she will be naked in no time". Under Bonus it says " Can chug a beer in five seconds. May be spotted on Girls Gone Wild tape".

I think that was pretty harsh. Especially using the DZ letters.

This is not just a playboy thing...this girl, if she is still a member of this organization should be delt with accordingly

I doubt there would be any way to catch the girl, all they show is a tiny part of her upper butt that has the DZ tattoo.

i personalyl made sure that my letters were tattooed on somewhere when i could easily hide them whenever i chose. they are on my hip, and even my bathing suit hides them at the beach.. never want your letters degraded!

Someone once told me that our sorority doesn't like for us to get tattoos of our letters...true or not?? Anyway, this doesn't surprise me--I've seen the kind of junk that's in those magazines, and it's best to take it with a grain of salt.

How awful...

I wonder if the girl had any idea that she and her sorority would be degraded to that level when she took the picture...

Although I'm not sure what GOOD purpose she ever thought it would serve in the first place.

Can we really blame Playboy for perpetuating stereotypes? Or rather, should we really be expecting more from a magazine that publishes pictures of naked women?

Sucks for DZs though... so many people will assume she represents the sorority as a whole.

You're right, Dana, Nationals doesn't like for us to get tattoos of our letters.

As for the girl with her be-lettered butt cheek in Playboy...we'll, we've had over 200,000 women initiated in Delta Zeta since 1902. No matter how careful you are, a bimbo is bound to sneak in every once in awhile.

I was really disappointed that Playboy seemed to take this stand against sorority women......I mean look at the type of girls they glorify. Perhaps they have a problem with the image of the "bitch" (actual translation; strong woman) who actually expects to get something out of life and her man. I mean, this is the same magazine that has an item on how to get your woman to let you nail her up the ass......

I really don't know of ANY woman who has her letters on her butt. How disrespectful. Chi Omega discourages having your letters tattooed on, but I still considered it........I was NOT going to have it on my butt though. How tacky.

Personally I think it was a tacky thing no matter WHAT letters they are talking about........not just DZ.

Playboy Sucks

Playboy used to show class now they are trash. What better way to prove this. Any female in a sorority has been college educated (obviously). Playboy isn't into that type. I would have to agree with taking it with a grain of salt. Honestly, I don't think the editors made the right decision by letting that slide.

On another note, did the girl with the tattoo think about how that's going to look when she's 60!!! Maybe that's why she took a picture of it now, to show her grandkids. Things that make you go hmmm...

LOL showstopper! :D One of the things that prevented me from getting a tattoo in college was thinking about how it would look 50 years down the road and having to explain to my grandchildren that it really did look good at the time. Ick! :D :D :D
