Halloween
 

Ok, it's right around the corner. What are you all going as for Halloween?

My chapter's having a party for the kids at a local domestic abuse shelter with which we work. I racked my brain for hours trying to think of something that would be good, cheap, and not too scary. So, thanks to my buddy Shaye, I'm going to be a spider! Yay!

Ok, I'm way too excited about that for my own good. I'm a dork.

So yeah, everybody, come share. What are you going to go as?

At my school, we have Greek Treats on Monday... all the sororities and fraternities do trick-or-treating around campus, with a haunted forest and a carnival area and various other entertaining things. This is my first year so I'm excited :)

I'm going as a butterfly. We are not allowed to just throw on some kitty ears and our letters and say, "Hey I'm a cat"... it has to be a real costume. So I got these really pretty black and purple butterfly wings, and I'm going to wear all black. I also got a headband and pipecleaners, to fashion some antennae.

Then on the actual day of Halloween, my church does Trunk or Treat, where the kids trick-or-treat out of the back of your car in the church parking lot. I don't think I am gonna wear my costume for that. After that I will probably go home (to my mom and dad's house) and do nothing. Most people I know party hard on Halloween but... I don't think that will be me.

We're throwing a HUGE Halloween party.

I'm going to roll up in a brown sheet, paint my hair green and carry around a huge lighter. I'm going as a blunt.

Because I'm single and have no children or obligations, I'll be at work since all the other people have children or grandchildren they will be messing with that night.

I'm not too happy about it cuz Thursdays are my days off cuz I have class all day and then I'll have to go to school! Not to mention I'll have two tests that day so I have to get up and look sorta presentable so when I get done with school I can go straight to work. Which means I gotta be up at like 6 30 and then go through two tests! SUCKY!

I was sorta hoping to get dressed up and hit the bars...oh well!

I don't have a costume yet, but my roomie and suitemates are going as a cowgirl, a hooker, and naughty cop. They've got there dates going as Sponge Bob, and the other is a prisoner of the cops, and he's cuffed and has a leash and a jumpsuit, it's cute.

I just went to a Halloween party last night. I was a ninja. :) One of the friends I went with was Hannibal Lector & the other was Annah Nicole Smith. <--- She even had a little black dog she carried around... it was classic.
