Should I, or shouldn't I?
This is actually a simple question. Right now my mom and I are sewing my boyfriend's TKE chapter letter shirts for them free-of-charge. Well, I was just wondering if we should make a few extra to sell on ebay for a few extra bucks? Or maybe make a few different letter shirts of different GLO's? I mean, we made 8 letter shirts (black tee w/letters on a silver bg and red foreground) all under 40 bucks. So no real monetary loss :p I'm just afraid people who aren't affliated w/the organization will bid.
So, any opinions? |
I say go for it. If people not affialted wanted a letter shirt they could get one anywhere so, if they get one from you it wouldn't be a big deal.

You just have to be careful because most organizations have liscenced vendors. I'm sure you making shirts for brothers you know isn't a problem (I do it all the time) but you might want to be careful with selling them on a larger market because you're not the liscenced vendor from the fraternity.

Most GLO's don't have the time or the resources to go after non-licensed vendors. While it may feel a little strange doing it I know that the t-shirt shops in town DEFINITELY don't get permission when they make letters for us or t-shirts or whatever.
