homecoming ideas
 

I need some ideas about homecoming. This year I am in charge of the homecoming float for DPhiE, all my sisters are fighting about what to wear. the school theme is the 70's, but our theme is Disco. the pledges are wearing afros, and some sisters want to wear pesent shirts, and bell bottoms, and some don't want the pesent shirts. the homecoming is at the end of the week. please help. :confused:

Unless you want your chapter to be appearing in the NBC Nightly News as another example of Greeks who don't think, ditch the afro wigs.

If you want to do disco, just get a copy of Saturday Night Fever and go from there - plenty of costume/theme ideas.

Peasant shirts/bell bottoms are Hippie era clothes. Disco is plenty of polyester knit dresses & leisure suits, high heels, glitterly lip gloss and Farrah Fawcett/Charlie's Angels hair.

Your New Members shouldn't be doing anything that your sisters arent.

After sending you the loooongest Pm ever, I totally forgot to include any ideas for homecoming.

What about different characters of Star Wars? It came out in the 70s - or a really bloated Elvis in his 70s, Vegas stage. Or have people be different tv characters - like from All in the Family or Mary Tyler Moore. But dude - disco is dead!

Or a punk thing - like Johnny Rotten or the Ramones, Blondie.

K I'm gonna stop now cause its getting out of control.

Oh what a fun theme!!! Lots of polyester, spangles!! Take a look at Bandstand from the 70s :)

Go to the goodwill or thrift store and look for anything with bizarre patterns!!

Yup I agree with her, or look for some bell bottoms, and a plaid button up collared shirt.
