greek life pertaining to other areas
 

hi--
ok, so i am not taking classes this semester...which gave me automatic alumni status...so i am not directly involved with my sorority at all. one of the things with which i have been spending time is being a youth director at a synagogue. i went to a conference this past semester for it. it was odd because i've always gone to leadership conferences...but this time i staffed it. and they talked about greek life a lot...about the rushing techniques and everything...and how it pertains to the youth group. it was pretty cool because i am kind of in sorority withdrawl, so i liked seeing how i could apply it to other areas of my life.

That's definitely a perk of Greek Life that those who aren't a part of it rarely understand. If you take an active role in your organization, you will definitely gain experience in time management, risk management, leadership, diplomacy, etc...things that actually come in handy in the "real world"!
