OK...my roommate and I just got tickets for a concert there on November 2. So I'm wondering if there's anything to do in Mobile on a Saturday night. The concert starts at 7 so I'm guessing that around 9:30 or 10 it will be over. Anyone from around there have any suggestions????

Wow someone who actually knows where Mobile is, I'm in shock! Bout the only thing Mobile has to offer is downtown on Dauphin Street. That's the bar district. Lots of great places with live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Grand Central, Baby Grand, Monsoon's Red's, Pat's Velvet Lounge, The Blue Planet, City Lights, Boo Radley's, Hayley's, and the one that stays open the latest of them all Studio 5"4 (Studio five foot four) 70's and 80 dance music all night long. Get in touch with me and I can let you know about any of the bands that will be playing down there that weekend. I'd be happy to show you around as well!

BTW, What concert are you going to?

"Dauphin Street," a mini Bourbon Street. Mobile has a fun night life on Friday and Saturday nights. My sisters and I spent many weekends there and New Orleans, bot are equal distance from USM!!! Of course this was YEARS ago :p

There's always fun to be had at the FloraBama - its about 45 minutes past Mobile, on the 'Bama/FL line.

The 'Bama is about an hour and a half from Mobile past Orange Beach. The season is about over down there. I've lived in Mobile and Baldwin County all my life and I have to admit I've never really been that impressed with the Night Life in Orange Beach or Gulf Shores. I love going downtown. I'm a huge fan of live music.

At Monsoons that night is Freewater Junction/Remy Zero and Cinge-hard rock and stuff like that.

The rest of the bars haven't posted thier schedules yet. I'll keep ya posted!

What concert are you going to? My friends are driving to New Orleans for Voodoo Fest.
I know where Mobile is bc I am in Pensacola and most of the news stations seemed to be based in Mobile.

So how was your night in the hell hole known as Mobile? Sadly I ended up in Pensacola, FL to celebrate a friends birthday. I had waaaaaaaaayyyy too many birthday shots with her. :p It was a wild and crazy night for me. I heard from my friends that stayed in Mobile that night had a blast at Grand Central that night. One of my good friends is one of the bouncers there and I got a 4am drunken phone call from him complaining I didn't come and see him. He told me it was WILD that night! I hope that you had a good time and next time I'll be sure to stay in town!
