Someone boost my confidence!
 

Ok, as some of you know, I was laid off in August. I've been doing freelance public relations stuff but nothing full time. I got a job lead as yet another contract employee with an automaker in Safety Communciations. The hiring manager asked for references and writing samples.

Someone please tell me this is a GOOD sign and that I'll hopefully hear from her early next week!

It's good when you hear ANYTHING after sending a resume in.

Just as a food for thought, I thought there are a few military bases near you, if so, have you thought of writting safety bits for them. Sometimes your have to create options for yourself and create a position that they didn't think of. Make yourself a commodity that needs to be marketed as well keep a new.:)
