woulda coulda shoulda?

i was just wondering, is there anything that anyone would have done differently while they were active members of their glo's? for example, i always wanted to be invited to a fraternity formal, but i never was. things like that.

I wish that we could have had a sorority house. No GLO had a house so I think that I really couldn't do much about it as a 19 to 22 year old.

I always wanted to go to a fraternity formal, but never did, and also I never went on spring break. That's about it.

I would have liked to have gone to a fraternity formal. (This doesn't happen when you date GDIs and grad students!) I did get invited to an APO date party, but it wasn't a formal.

I would have liked for us to have a house or suite.

I would have liked the opportunity to have a second little. My little deaffiliated without taking her own little, so I have no family. :(

I would have liked to carry over more of my local sorority's traditions when we went AEPhi. I wanted to preserve my local's ritual and perhaps incorporate it as an I-week event. Sadly, this never happened and now the ritual is lost :(

Ditto.

I would have taken more days off work so I could attend sorority stuff rather than worrying about money all the time. I would have visisted the sorority house more than just haning out in my dorm room bc I was too shy to just stop by to see my OWN SISTERS!!! I wish that I wouldn't have been so shy and I wish I hadn't drank so much at fraternity parties to get over my shyness.

If there are any of y'all that are still active and live in the Texas surrounding area and would like to go to a fraternity formal, send a 250 word essay to kitso361@yahoo.com detailing why you think you should be chosen, along with one issue you believe to be seriously affecting Greek Life and a way to address said issue.

Photos are optional, but preferential treatment will be given to those that have submitted photos to the Official GreekChat Photo Album(a personal project) :D

All entries will be read by either myself or a pledge and winners will be notified. No purchase necessary, enter as many times as you wish. Offer not valid oustide the contiguous 48 states.

Seriously, one thing i'd like to have done is run for our chapter president. I rushed late, due to my previous affiliation with the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, so it didn't leave me a lot of active time to work my way to the presidency. I have found other ways to get involved, i finish my year term as Risk Reduction officer in December and was recently selected to serve as a justice on IFC Judicial Board.

I wish I knew what sorority life was REALLY like on a campus with a strong Greek system. I wish I would have run for office because I am a BIG project person. I don't believe in obstacles and feel I could have jump started things. Even though it was out of my control, I WISH my best friends had been in my sorority. We would have turned that campus on it's heels!

I wish I would have lived in the house, I wish that I could have had a great relationship with my little. I wish things would have been different and I wouldn't have dropped.

1. I wish I'd have run for President of my chapter. At the time I didn't want to take on the added work.

2. I wish I'd have gone on Spring Break at least once

3. I wish I hadn't cut 9 out of the 12 sororities after the first round. It took me a few years to lose the b**ch reputation plus I missed out on meeting some really great girls.

4. I wish I'd kept in touch with my Little!

I wish that I had been a better president, and most of my regrets are things I did while I was in office.

I guess I learned from that, though, and I am trying to be the best senior I can be.

It may sound trite, but reading this I find I am the only guy on it.

I am one of the lucky ones who felt that what I did was full filling in so many ways.

Now, turn the clock back a few years!

I was a nice looking kid who was scared to death but put up a great bravado facade!

I did not learn how to stand up in front of people until I started the Local. I was King! Good to be the King!

It was my responsebility to lead my group to what ever end and we made it.

I had the pleasure of being at the 30 th Founding of the Chapter in Fl. Tech and was a guest speaker.

My roomie asked me just before we went to the diner what I was going to talk about.

I told him, hell I dont know, I am going to shoot from the hip.

He told me tonight I got tons of laffs and applaus and I do not remeber a thing!

So be like me grow maturer ( I do not use old ) and have the best you can have.

I gave a patomime in calss one time and the only one that said words and got an A.

Surprised the Proff. the Class and Me!:D

Do what you can do and work more on what you cannot do!

DAMN, Sorry about that long thing! Tired and doing by pavlov and not thinking!

Good Night Gracie! Nite JWOW!;) Where ever Ya is!
