New holiday for alums!
 

I am planning a reunion for my collegiate chapter and just through a teeny blurb in our alum magazine, have heard from sisters I haven't talked to in 8-10 years. So I propose we make tomorrow the first annual

CALL (OR E-MAIL) A LONG LOST BROTHER OR SISTER DAY.

Look in your address book and call the brother you had a huge fight with, but it's so long ago, you forget what it was about.

Log into your university's website and find the phone # or e-mail of the sister who stayed till the end of every mixer with you, and get in contact.

Get in touch with as many members of your pledge class as possible. Plan a mini-reunion or an internet chat.

In August is a 'holiday' called Sisters Day - we're planning on using that as a big push to get in contact with lost Tallahassee alumnae and invite them to attend our kickoff event later that month.

I had just finished emailing a couple of sisters that I haven't talked to since I left in December when I logged on and read this post. I thought that was a bit of a coincidence http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif. One of them already wrote back and it made me feel warm and fuzzy inside http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif.

Have some goods up on this thread. I started @ 2 years ago calling and finding Alums. So far i have @ 185 E-M so we can keep in touch and informed. We have 2 brothers that do summer partys. One is for Alums only and Peirce Stock (4) this year is for actives, Assoc. Members, and Alums. Both have been great as we have Brothers from the original Local I started 36 yr. ago up to this last year and each time there are more new attendees. It is just BBQ, suds and BS but is a great time!!!!!!!
Even if you were water and some one else was oil, time heals all. Once a Brother, always a Brother!!!!!
