Yesterday we got hit by our first nor'easter of the season. Pouring rain, wind, etc. I'm on my way home from work in this downpour, *at night*, when some @$$hole decides he feels like tailgating me. Now, I was driving rather more cautiously than usual because of the rain, but I wasn't exactly creeping along at 20mph either. So what does Impatient Boy do? Flashes his high beams, whips around me, cuts me off, and slams on his brakes in an attempt to get me to rear-end him. Thank God for ABS and quick reflexes or I would have rear-ended him and/or fishtailed. Not that it helped him... the next car up *was* doing 20mph.

Oh, and his back window was so full of cr@p that there was no way he could possibly see what was behind him.

Why is it that drivers don't understand the basic concepts of *slow down* and *do not tailgate* in bad weather??? Or, keep a clear line of sight for your rear-view mirror??? Did these people even take driving lessons, or did they just sleep with someone at the DMV to get their licenses???

So you've been to Virginia and FLorida huh.
I swear I thought northern Virginia drivers were bad but then I moved down here. Great Googily Moogily. No one in Florida can drive, and got forbid when we get some kind of precepitiation. No lie, I have scene people STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD ON A HIGHWAY not on the side, in the road and put on their hazards and think thats OK WTF. Also, I'm almost positve that using your blinker was described as an option down here, and not as something that you HAVE to do.
I would love to see a big snowstorm come through just to laugh at everyone, and their mitsubishi eclipses who think that driving is radio blaring, top down 110 on the highway, oh yeah all well talking on the phone.......Jeez!

I was driving home for fall break on friday afternoon (PA to MA), I took 95 across CT. 95 was backed up from the tapenzee bridge in NY to Providence RI! :mad: There were always stupid accidents blocking up traffic because people didn't know how to drive in the rain.

I feel your pain.

YES!!! FL drivers are the worst!! Well actually second worst. After driving - or should I say evading and manuvering - in the Bronx, I think they may actually edge us out. :eek:

*coughs* Hmm..I think you guys need to come to Ohio. Where you can travel the roads w/the evil Amish, senior citizens driving cameros going 20mph, West Virginians, and my personal favorite...tractors! Oh yee-haw. :rolleyes:
