A friend of mine made a haloween costume almost entirely out of AOL CD's

OH I know what you mean, in my building people line them up above the mail boxes.

I think I shall decorate my place with the cd's like they showed. What a neat idea!

I hate those damn cd's!

It looks like a ton! I am also wondering how they got that many! I'd make a mobile of one...but then again that really wouldn't match my things HA HA HA!

The probably took them from store displays thay say take one but they took alot more than that. Almost all stores have those displays to take one free.

From (what I think) was the peak of the CDmailing during the late 1990s, I had the back wall of my classroom lined with ISP CD's. My students brought them in & put them up. I had hundreds, but eventually ran out of that gooey sticky stuff that I was using...never got around to buying more.

I think some students used gum (which I didn't allow in my classroom).

I can't remember if I left them up or not after I left the school... :p

AOL sent 1200 disks to my high school my senior year. We formatted all of them and gave them out to use for classes. There was no local AOL ISP, so the computer lady didn't want kids calling long distance to get internet. i think i took about 100 of the disks, no idea where most are now though
