Best Decade?

Reading about dead malls… I’ve been thinking about this. I have to say that the 80s were a good time. Perhaps it’s because I was still young, but it just seemed so bright and peppy and fun. What was better than going to the mall with your friends (even us city kids, who would take a bus and a trolley just to get there!) I feel kind of sad that malls aren’t a thing anymore. (I guess there are a few around, but considering one literally sells Teslas, it’s safe to say they’re not really in my price range!)

So…80s/early 90s here. I liked growing up with the angst and grunge of the mid to late 90s, but it was more dark and emotional.

We must be about the same age, because I can relate. I guess every generation feels that way about the time period when they grew up. I remember when I was a kid, my mom talking about how great things were back in her day (50's/60's).

Depends.

Overall — 90s

Car Culture — 60s (Years:1967/1968 specifically)

The 90s. Such cute clothes and fun times. I <3 brown lipstick.

I graduated HS in 97, so my HS years were 93-97.

College didn’t exactly follow a traditional four year path (military and other reasons), so college was from 98- 2005.

I think there is some truth to thinking that the “best” years correlate to the best years of YOUR life. For me, that would be the late 80s and early 90s.

For music, the 1980s. I'm currently bingeing Stranger Things (no spoilers please, I just finished season 4) and the music is ... damn.

Otherwise, the 1990s. Mainly this is because I went away to college, got out from under my father's roof, and turned 21.
