We already have like one of those pet peeve threads for little annoyances. This one’s different. This one is about the small, random things that make you disproportionately furious. Like the kind of thing most people shrug off, but for whatever reason it sends you into orbit. What’s yours?

Mine is I hate looking for things. You know what? If I’ve lost something, I’ll refuse to look for it, just to keep from getting angry and swearing. So, I’ll just buy another one. Happened last week with my portable charger. Couldn’t find it, so I went on Amazon and bought the same exact charger again. Of course Murphy’s Law reacted to it and the old one showed up. So, now I have two. Oh well.

And then when someone asked me to go get something for them in another room or something and I have to look for it. And then when I come back out and I say, “I don’t see it.” And then they’ll go in there, find it, and say “it was right where I said it was.” Ya know, that really makes me angry. If you know where it is, THEN GO GET IT! Now when people ask me that, I’ll say, “Do you know where it is?” If they say “Yes”, then I’ll say, “Then get it yourself!”

I refuse to look for anything. Nope! Not gonna look for it. I’ll just buy another one.

When I’m at the mall or grocery store and people get in my way, especially when I’m walking and somebody is walking in my direction toward me, in my lane as if I’m invisible. It’s usually a certain group of people that do this shit too. I won’t mention who because I’ll be called out for stereotyping. Must be a cultural thing, but it pisses me off when it happens.

Mine is E (electric) bicycles.
There are currently very few regulations for these bicycles and they should be treated as motorized vehicles.

Any sort of red lights/congestion/traffic. I live, work and travel in a very hot rural area and seldom come across such societal scourges.

Me, too. We like right next to a county bike path and there is zero regard for the "no motorized vehicles" sign. Some guy passed me going about 45 miles an hour last week. It's getting out of control with some people.

When people won’t flow with traffic speed as they’re going down the ramp onto the freeway.
