In Japan!
 

So here I am with our son who used to teach here and our daughter Blazercheer (her rush story was posted here in 2004-5); we adopted her as a baby from Japan.

I'm hoping for great adventures!

Some years ago I watched a movie starring Brittany Murphy called The Ramen Girl. If I ever make it to Tokyo or Japan in general, I'll be eating at least one meal in one of those gourmet ramen restaurants like in that movie. Sushi & sashimi would be on my Japan travel meal list as well.

One of my chapter’s undergrads studied there last fall. He said he was surprised/amazed by the gardens, beautiful architecture, overwhelming crowds and the bullet trains!
He said EVERYBODY seems to be in a hurry, but the citizens were friendly and curious.

Our daughter was born in Saitama-ken! We're in Nagoya tonight but will be doing Osaka and Kyoto and then finishing at Disneysea and Disneyland.

Y'all, you can get the best ever meals at Seven Elevens! I have been eating seafood every time I could, both there and in restaurants. We've been visiting past exchange students and one girl's parents own a cute little cafe, so we had great rice dishes there. I want to try eel this week too. This food is fabulous, and yes, John, do come for the sashimi and sushi! :)
