Freshman Sigma Chi passes in NYE Attack.
 

Kareem Badawi, a freshman at the University of Alabama and a Sigma Chi passed away in the attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day. A terrible tragedy and my condolences go out to his loved ones and fraternity brothers.

I’m a local, and this was terrible news to wake up to. My condolences to Kareem’s family and fraternity brothers, and to everyone else who lost a family member or friend, and my prayers for a swift recovery for those who were injured.

Too many young people died in this horrific attack on NYE.
