My Vikings first game of the actual season (not preseason) is next Sunday. And yes!… I will be watching! We’re up against Tampa Bay. :)

I’m watching the Lions/Chiefs game. Of course KC is going to win, but I want Detroit to win. Honestly, I don’t think Detroit will get more than 3 points lol.

I was about to say "Tied at half time" and then... THIS is why I hate football. The Lions give you hope, then blow it. Then give you hope, then blow it. And the die hard Lions fans get all emotional and I want to just yell at them - IT'S THE LIONS!!!!!!!!!!! Are they not used to it by now?

Hilarious! Yes! I feel your pain, Dee. My Vikings do that to me towards the end of the season all the time. They’ll get so close either in the playoffs or getting close to the playoffs and blow it.

Yep, but the last time they went was long before I was born. Since I wasn’t alive to see any of them, they don’t count lol :p

eta: but they’ve never won a Super Bowl.

That's how they roll though. They'll beat a ridiculously good team and then lose 9 in a row. I really hope it's different this year. I do. I just don't have a lot of faith. There used to be local radio shows that would have phone in contests "How are the Lions going to blow it?" with the crazy ways they would end up losing a game. They've had talent a lot of the time, but they end up just ... blowing it. Fingers crossed they really do win the division.

Hilarious! I think they might do better than they have done in the recent past. They have a pretty good quarterback.

They had freakin' Matthew Stafford and couldn't get it done!

For years they had Barry Sanders and couldn't get it done!

Very true. Stafford has a Super Bowl ring, now that he’s left the Lions. I think they just have bad management because even their coaches have been good.
