Food most people enjoy, but you avoid it like the plague
Sushi. I tried it once and almost puked.
|
Anything spicy.

Potato salad. Basically, anything involving mayonnaise.
|
I agree with all of these so far. Sushi just - yuk. I hate fish, except for shellfish. I hate mayo on or in anything. Mild spice is ok but I want to be able to taste my food, not burn my mouth.
Add Thai food to this list for me. |
I think cantaloupe tastes so gross...blech!!
I like just regular watermelon (preferably chilled). No other melons. People think I'm nuts. |
Cheese popcorn or Cheetos. Repulsive.
|
Whatever that sweet beef is called. It’s beef, with a hint of a sweet taste to it. Any kind of meat with that taste to it, I can’t. Nasty as hell.
|
Peanut Butter and jelly combined together and milk on cereal.
|
Just say no to bananas, cantaloupe, and honeydew melon. With bananas in particular, I can't deal if you're sitting next to me eating a banana or when people keep the empty peel sitting there on the table. Gross. Double bag that nasty thing and put it in the trash outside.
|
Any kind of fish that radiates that strong “fishy” smell. I can tolerate fresh grouper or Mahi Mahi (both grilled). But anything poached or even broiled—GAG!! And those “all-you-can-eat” catfish places that serve it highly battered and deep fried: NAUSEATING!!
|
Almost any fruit. Also, apple pie, cherry pie, pumpkin pie, etc.
Sushi, also. |
Boiled potatoes - like in soup, or just as a side. OMG  SO GROSS!
|
Oh boy, do I have a list.
Top of the list: red beans and rice. (Please don't cut up my Southern card. My folks were Catholic and wouldn't eat meat on Fridays, Lent or not. Every few weeks, my mother prepared vegetarian red beans and rice, and it was barf city.) Corned beef and cabbage. Dhal. Stuffed grape leaves. (Again, barf city.) Brussels sprouts. (OK, maybe that doesn't fit the "most people enjoy" criterion.) I'm generally willing to try anything once, but if I don't like it, I don't like it, and that's that. |
Red meat, besides the very occasional Arbys Roast Beef & Cheddar. Doesn't matter how it's prepared, I won't eat it.
