Liability?

Not sure whether we should drop this kid.

So far he's been great for everything throughout the process, but we recently found out something. Apparently he was at a pre-rush party for another organization, where he says that a girl there went up to him and grabbed his face, which he didn't approve of (he's very adamant about his current gf-- never once seen him get with a girl at a party or anything). He was drunk and shocked so he reacted by backing away and knocking the girls hand down. The guy himself said that he was the one that reported the incident to the other organization because he was scared of being accused of something, but they still dropped him because the girl was one of their sweethearts.

We gave him a bid but at the time we didn't know about this. He's been great and was the favorite to be alpha in his PC. He's had no issues with all of our regular girls, and a lot of the brothers fw him. I don't consider him a liability but we're worried about our reputation if we initiate him. What should we do?

Are you KIDDING? “One of their sweethearts” shouldn’t be so drunk that she “grabbed” some kid’s face. And HE shouldn’t have been drunk either. If this goes to IFC or Student Life one of the first questions is going to be: “Who provided alcohol to underage students?” And it will go downhill from there.

Each one of us would never want to be judged when we’ve consumed too much alcohol…or any for that matter.

If he’s proven himself, then welcome him in. Worried about YOUR REPUTATION? REALLY? Are you scared of your shadow? Frankly, the kid seems to be TOO GOOD for either one of your organizations. I feel badly for him…
