Humor...
So Im always told that I know WAY too much about Phi Sigma Sigma and my sisters joke about it... well the other night Miss Jess_Pom decided to ask me who was the youngest founder... (its one of the Gordons but I dont know which) and since I didnt know she said "HA! I found something Ali dosent know about Phi Sigma Sigma!" and then I said something like "Ill kick your butt" and she said "You cant handle THE POM!"
Another... Miss Glitter650 said this to me after I answered her question: "Thank you oh grand princess of everything Phi Sig !!" hehe, I feel so loved... :) |
Perhaps you can help me on this one...
Okay, since you are the Phi Sig encyclopedia, I thought that I would ask you a question. Any input would help out actually. Anyway, here goes...
So my chapter just got out of trouble with national and stuff (that's another story...we were framed!!!) We just got our social privledges back and now we are told that we CANNOT hang out with ANY local fraternities. Something to the point of...they're trouble, the campus doesn't want them as Greeks, so as a Phi Sig, you can't associate with them. Now here's the big part.....first of all, they are at another college 15 minutes away from us. They were national, but took it upon themselves to disband nationally and become local before they got kicked off campus. Secondly, myself and another sister are dating members of this local fraternity. I have been with my guy for 2 years, which was before our chapter got into trouble and they went local. Our advisor is saying that when 2 or 3 Phi Sigs are in the same room or place, it's considered a "social" event, even if it's really not. So, basically, my graduation party "violated" the Phi Sig rules b/c my sisters were there, my boyfriends brothers were there, and Phi Sigs from his school were also there. I guess my question is, Is this a National Policy that we cannot associate with locals? If so, when and how did they get the ultimate decision to determine who I hang out with outside of Phi Sig events? To my understanding, as long as it's not a calendar event or announced at meeting and put into the minutes, National and our advisor can't say crap about what we choose to do. If anyone knows anything about this, please post here, IM me (pssjadey), email me (Jadey28@yahoo.com), or PM me. I really need to do something about this before something I love so much is erased from my past (and I am not talking about my boyfriend)! |
 I hate when all these "rules" magically appear! No where that I know is it written that we can not associate with certain fraternities.
When Phi Delt's got in trouble on our campus they lost social privilages for a year, so we were told that we shouldn't have any events with them until that was over. But I have never been told to never associate with any specific frats or organizations. If you don't comply... what happens, and what happened with this frat that our nationals would know? The only reason I could think of is that they are on a different campus/college. |
The POM is too much for Ali. BTW, Jeanette Lipka Furst is the youngest member of Phi Sigma Sigma, she entered college at 15 and graduated at 18!
