I can't believe people give her money
This girl has almost got her $20,000 credit card debt paid off by donations. Crazy.

Sick.
Granted, my debt's not as high as hers, but I choose to pass. Sorry, she won't be getting my sympathy...or my dollar. I believe in charity, but not so that she can pay off the card she used to buy her Prada pumps. |
I have to agree with OohTeenyWahine here.
Interesting she even has her own domain.. I'm sure that costs money.. maybe she could have used those extra bucks towards her debt? |
Umm.. you wanna pay off my student loans??
I can't believe people are paying off her debt because she shopped too much. People live without food, housing and health insurance! Good idea, I have to give it to her, but wow is that self centered. -M |

That link no longer work.

The link worked for me. Maybe I should get my own website. You can pay my bills, rent, credit cards, etc. HMMM! :p
Actually, I do remember reading about a young man who used a similar technique to pay his college tuition pre-internet. He took out small ads in newspapers asking for everyone who read it to send $1. His tuition was paid in full. |

It's an awful idea, but what's more awful is that people are giving her money! What makes her debt worse than the rest of ours? What makes her more deserving than the poor, the starving, the sick? For that matter, what makes her more deserving than me? My debt is smaller than hers, so if you give me a dollar, you're paying off a greater part of my debt!
I guess there really is a sucker born every minute. |
Agree with most
The fact is, she is in her 20s. I don't advocate filing for bankruptcy, but she's young enough that she could have rebuilt her credit by going through Consumer Credit Counseling Service or something like that.
I bet that most of her benefactors are horny guys who want to, err, "hit it." Although I saw her eBay auction and was angry that I couldn't bid on a martini book she was selling. :p |
I just wish I'd been smart enough to think of it first! I think it's hilarious. And if people have nothing better to do than give her money, well I say let them. I had the retail disease when I was younger and owed my soul to Visa. I've slowly paid everything off, but would've loved an "easy way out." Can't blame a girl for trying...

She got it paid off. She is all over the news and even has a book offer. What a bunch of crap.

I think I am going to do something like that. Sheesh, i don't have nearly as much debt, but I sure could use the help!

As of November 10th, she had been sent $13,323.08!
