August 15: PNM Convocation & Round 1 – Greek Day
Number Visited: All 10 sororities

August 16 & 17: Round 2 – Philanthropy Day
Number Visited: Up to eight (8) sororities

August 18: Break Day

August 19 & 20: Round 3 – Sisterhood Day
Number Visited: Up to five (5) sororities

August 21: Round 4 – Preference Day
Number Visited: Up to two (2) sororities

August 22: Bid Day!

My Facebook feed shows one new Tri Delta and one new Kappa of the girls I know. I'm glad they did recruitment before school started!

One of my rec girls went Phi Mu and the other is a KD.
I heard that quota was 136. Phi Mu got 142.

Kappa got 145!

I’m way out of the loop - sister graduated from Ole Miss 15 years ago and lives out of state…when did rush change from late September to before school starts?

Maybe last year?

This is the first year it has been held prior to classes starting in over 10 years...probably longer than that.
There used to be a problem with PNMs dropping out of recruitment and school, transferring to other schools who had not yet had recruitment, and pledging their preferred chapter(s)....then transferring back to Ole Miss the next year and trying to affiliate.
I think the shift to many more out of state PNMs in recruitment plus adding more NPC groups (and of course thanks to RFM), the playing field has been leveled a bit.
Is Alpha Chi Omega back on schedule to colonize this year? I know this was supposed to happen last year but of course was delayed due to covid.

They're going to colonize in 2022. Also Mississippi State is recolonizing their Alpha Chi Omega chapter so hopefully they'll be strong and able to assist Ole Miss next year!

My rec crew: Chi Omega (her first choice to yeah!), Tri Delta, 2 AOIIs, ADPi!

This was the first time since I went through recruitment in 1996, that recruitment was BEFORE classes started. I think it went very well and I think it will help students to matriculate better too. You know so students on both sides of things don't have to worry with missing classes, tests, etc.

It was VERY HOT yesterday in Oxford but I think everyone stayed safe.

Looks like all of the chapters did very well and lots of happy new members! HOTTY TODDY!

Tri Delta got 144 new members per their Facebook.
