Beta Sigma Phi Conventions

Pre-COVID, Beta Sigma Phi held many conventions each year. Have you been to one? What was your experience like?

I’ve only been to one convention, which was the 2018 Tennessee state convention in Gatlinburg. The theme was “Around the World in Three Days” and it was so much fun! There was a masquerade for the formal night and I won the door prize on the last day, which was a pair of plates from the Knoxville City Council sorority house. I was hoping to go to the convention in Canada this year, but now that it’s been moved to 2022, I’ll have to factor in renewing my passport to the cost and I’m on the fence :P

Pre-covid, we would go to one a year. A few that I have attended are: Rochester, Buffalo, Niagra Falls, International in Kansas City, and Frankenmuth. I know there are ones I'm missing. They are so much fun. I love the theme nights. My chapter usually gets a group prop for one of the nights (like flower crowns for the 60s night at International), and I usually go balls to wall with my themed outfits. The programs they have planned are a lot of fun too :)
