Sigma Alpha Role Call!
 

OK ladies, convention is in less than a week, I figured the board would be filled with excitement, and it's dead! :( Lets get a role call going to see of us are still alive :)

Woo Hoo! Can't wait till convention!!! I am so excited about going to Texas, I have never been there before! However, not too excited about 12 hour car ride there, but hey, it's worth it to meet sisters from different chapters! Can't wait to see you all in Texas!

One person is alive. Bad news is only one girl from Gamma is going. This weekend is our homecoming, and our alumni want to have a big to do at the house. Also there is no $ in our budget, driving from Michigan to Texas isn't really an option, and we couldn't get the college of Ag to give us a scholarship, so our president Bethie is the only one going.

I hope you all have fun in Texas! :) And remeber what they say about Texas... Everything is bigger ;)

wish we could have attended, but funding kept us from coming! We had so many interested sisters, but no money to support those interested in attending :(

We MISSED YOU! Start planning now for next year's 25th Anniversary Convention, which will be held in Lisle, IL (outside of Chicago). It's never too early to start looking for funds, whether from fundraising, requests to your alumnae sisters to help out or to your university funding sources. Maybe some sisters whose chapters helped pay for their convention travel can help share ideas!

Hopefully I will make it to convention one of these years...


When I have a job(crosses fingers)

and money

and a nice boss who will give me time off(assuming I ever find a job)

BUT -- maybe Beth will see me at Duke -- if i get into their nursing school(deep down always wanted a degree from Duke)

But anyways, I am here, poor,and generally bored out of my mind.

Have you already applied to Duke? Good luck! It is a great school.

nope havent applied yet -- must take psychology and human anatomy and physiology...

and must wait to find out more info on the Veterans Administration's nursing scholarship program.

Do y'all have the dates set for next year's convention? I'd really like to be there since it will be the 25th anniversary. I'm gonna fundraise my butt off so I can get there!!! :)
