I say go for it, if you have the time. I rushed when I was 21, and while I feel old now, compared to the new girls coming in (I'm 24), I would have missed out on some great friendships. And you can get so much out of greek life, it would be a shame to not try just because you feel older. Give it a chance, and if it doesn't work out you can either not initiate or resign later.

Absolutely!!!
Go for it!!!
Especially if it is something that you've really wanted. :)

Do it! You still have 2 1/2 years. I don't think age should be a problem. Go for it! If your grades are good and you said you have done alot of volenteering, age should not be of much concern at all.

Last year my chapter had a girl pledge who was 26... she dropped out during her pledge period for personal reasons, but she did get a bid from us and I'm sure with all those groups to choose from, you have a great chance of getting one, so I would definitely go for it ;)

I think that how you "click" with the women will be more important than your age. You say you know some Greek women, why not ask them? I know of groups that have taken Seniors because the women absolutely loved them.

If you don't try, you'll never know how it would have worked out.
Best of Luck!

I think it depends on where you go to school. At some schools, sophomores, juniors and even some seniors have no problem getting bids, but at some schools it is much more difficult. Even if your school is the latter, it really can't hurt to try, right?

I know here at my campus, there were girls who were absolutely the most awesome girls I'd ever met who were cut because they were sophomores or juniors. I think it just depends on where you are.

Hum?

I am also have plans on going through recruitment net year. My sister is in a sorority, and I told her your situation, and she wanted to know if you are currently in school and if you were if the group you siad you LOVED is having open bidding? She told me it is more likely that you would get a bid during open rush then durning rush due to your age and status!

You can either pm or post!

Hope
