My rec girl went Alpha Phi. Still waiting to hear back from the other.

Quota was 86 and total 299. A ton of happy moms on the recruitment parent GroupMe. Alpha Phi has 91 new members.

Yay! A DZ friend will be at her daughter's initiation at UGa in a few weeks!

My rec went Alpha Chi Omega, where she is a legacy of her Mom. Sigma Kappa took 92 per FB, and appear to be celebrating cautiously. Who knows? Maybe Virtual Recruitment is the new, ultimate no-frills?

You have a point. No need for decorations, costumes, etc....if it's all virtual! Recruitment budgets go way down, and the money can be used for other events later in the semester.

I've followed a couple of groups on social media as they are prepping for their virtual SEC recruitment. They have various coordinating outfits associated with a day's theme, props, and hundreds of balloons as well as someone to capture/edit video. Some of the cost may just be transferred to the other end of recruitment. But, surely it's still less expensive. In the South, there has to be a tremendous amount saved on air conditioning alone.
