2020 Virtual Convention

Has anyone attended their virtual convention yet?

AST's is this week, and we're kicking things off with a giant game of trivia on Thursday, our business meetings will be Saturday, then Coffee with the Council on Sunday.

I'm looking for everyone's thoughts on virtual convention and how everything worked out.

Not yet, but making note to follow this thread. I'm curious to see how this will work and of course what turnout will look like.

I'm am wondering with some groups will participation increase since the barrier of travel and associated costs won't be an issue. Or will those who are long time attendees if they might pass on the virtual format. Those were things running through my mind as I started reading that some groups were going to a virtual format.

DG's is this week...starts Thursday night with introduction of new branding. Main business session of interest is the Candidate Forum and election on Saturday. I am attending - my 17th. It will all be interesting.

Chi Omega's is this week. I've downloaded the app and am looking forward to it.

Gamma Phi Beta's will be taking place this Saturday--it will be a marathon of a day! I actually wasn't going to be able to attend this year due to work commitments, so I am glad that IC moved to the virtual option. It will be my 3rd Convention.

Seriously, when I first read "introduction of new branding" was that branding was hazing.

As many times as we've changed it, it might be!

The new branding is up on the Delta Gamma website. :) I prefer it to the previous one.

It's really beautiful! I love the incorporation of the bronze

Yes I agree and appreciate that it is bronze! During my days as a collegiate varying shades of yellow (lemon to mustard) were usually substituted for the ribbon pins and other items.

Alpha Sigma Tau has finished our first general session and it went surprisingly well! Transitions between speakers were a little awkward at times and polls sometimes took a minute to appear on the screen for voting, but otherwise, smooth sailing so far.

We also held a giant trivia game on Thursday which had its technical issues at first, but eventually all ran OK... even though my team didn't win. :)

Huge props to all who worked diligently over the past couple months to make this happen!

Gamma Phi Beta's Convention is on right now. It seems to be running smoothly so far!
