Sigma Chi's at my school are mad
The chapter at my school has a big white cross on their front lawn with their letters on it. Obviously very important to them because it's their major symbol. Apparently the other day someone took a chisel or something and attempted to cut their letters out of the cross. The person also dug multiple nicks into the cross. The Sig Chi's of course are furious. I sympathize--I would be livid if someone defaced our crest or anything to do with my sorority.

Totally not cool.

Thats messed up

i really hope it wasn't another greek that did that...

Vandilism is never ok.
excue my spelling, M |
What I really want to know is, who the heck would do something so stupid, and why are they in college?
|
Plenty of idiots out there. We bricked our letters in in our front yard... Someone kept showing up every night, breaking them apart and throwing them out in the streets.
This is actually fairly common I'd imagine. |
I think stuff like that is common. We usually get a letter or 2 stolen off the house at least once a year. But we have many spares because its happens every year.
|
Hmmm...defacing a cross....good way to gain favor in the eyes of God.

There's a lot of anyi-greek sentiment at my school (we're 4% greek, yet hhmmmm, 80% of RIT social events are greek sponsored). However none-the-less we have to put up with a lot of $}{|+ from greek-haters. one time the paint on our table was scratched up (which unnerved me 'cause that was my pledge class house im provement). We've had composites stolen, paddles ripped off the walls, and everything immaginable written to slander us.
I hope some day the people doing this, at campuses everywhere, will grow up and realize how stupid they really are. |

Hopefully its not other Greeks that are committing these acts of vandelism! XOXO, Annie. |
Well, the random jackasses here often fight with the fraternities because they know we're the ones who are gonna get blamed for it. They don't really steal or vandalize stuff, they just come to our parties, and when asked to leave or what not, they start crap.

Ya that's rediculous about the cross being vandalized. Whoever did it is not the smartest person. Not only were they disrespecting Sigma Chi, but they were disrespecting God as well. But Stan it could've very well been a greek.....we have some pretty big rivalries here between the fraternities but lets hope a greek wouldn't have done this. :-)

Kind of makes you wonder if they would have had to do it if they weren't caught? It's widespread -- here at least. Some stuff is in good fun.. Other stuff is over the line. |
