Big Sis Lil' Sis revealing ???
 

We are in desperate need of a good Big sis lil' sis revealing idea. We need to change ours but we don’t have a clue what to do??? HELP!! It is coming up soon!!

Stringing is so cool, if you are still allowed (I know most organizations, including my own, consider it hazing).

Candle pass... Each little is given a special personalized candle with her name, as it goes around the circle the big blows it out (can fake them out by having someone else blow it out or pretend to).

Costume... give the new girls funny hats or socks or something, then they have to find the big with the hat that matches theirs (Can do bunny ears, tiaras, etc). Kind of boring, but cute for pictures.

Ice cream social... each new girl gets a sundae in a bowl painted by her big at one of those "Paint Your Own Pottery" places. They paint their name in the bottom, but the new girl doesn't see it until she eats it all.

Baby shower... this is so cute. Decorate a room in your house with baby shower decorations (all pink, of course, for your little girls). Serve punch and baby shower cake and play baby shower games... Each big should have wrapped a baby gift for their little (a bottle full of their favorite candy, a rattle shaped like their favorite Disney character, etc). The outside of the box just says who it is to, but when they unwrap it, it will say the name of the big sis somewhere inside (either include a note, or write "Big Sis ______, Lil' Sis _______ on the bottle with puffy paint or something. Afterward, you can give them all "birth certificates" for their scrapbooks!

That's all I can think of now... I will try to think of more later.

ALSO EDITED TO ADD: If you do the baby shower thing, have everyone sit in a circle and unwrap their gifts one by one... not all at once or the excitement is over in less than a minute.

I really think that the candle pass is a great idea. We have done that every semester, and it's always really awesome. We sing prefrence songs as the new little goes around the circle too.

not to crash your boards, but one fun thing that we do involves using all the sister's cars in the parking lot

the NM recieves a key (and of course, don't make it be the car key of her REAL big, that's too easy!) and then they all have to run out to the parking lot and try to figure out which car their key unlocks. the cars are all decorated (windows covered of course), and sometimes we leave some cars unlocked, so they THINK they've opened the right one, so they get faked out. in the end, they find which car goes to their key and thier big is waiting inside. it's SO fun and so cute... hope that helps. (and hopefully that's not hazing)

We are doing something like the keys with the cars but instead of the keys going to our cars, they are keys to our rooms. We will be in a different room than our own and will have a sheet covering us and a sign on the outside saying who's big sis it is. It sounds like a lot of fun.

I like the car key/ room key idea!

Back in my day (the 80s! woohoo!), we had scavenger hunts all over the town.. the big sis gives the little a t-shirt...the little goes on the scavenger hunt (in groups of 4-5) and everyone would end up in the same place. The littles would have to find the sister wearing a matching t-shirt.

Thanks so much for all of your advice, we ended up doing the car and key thing, it was tonight and it was a blast!!! I recommend it for anyone we all had our flashers on and we were honking our horns it was so much fun!! AOT
