I had a really hard time answering a lot of those survey questions because of some of the underlying premises. No doubt you're referencing the Allen Madden study from '08 which told us 78% of college students are hazed.

What's ridiculous about that study is how it defines hazing. If you've played beer pong for any amount of time, you have been hazed according to that garbage study.

As far as the sexual assault statistics in U.S. schools, you need to carefully read your sources for how they define sexual assault. If your thesis is going to adopt the premise that 20% of females in American colleges are sexually assaulted, again, you're looking at a study which takes on a highly expansive view of what sexual assault is.

You also need to understand that there is zero uniformity in fraternities. From organization to organization and from campus to campus, you're looking at very different groups of individuals. No conclusion you're going to reach in your research is going to be applicable to vast numbers of people.

Also consider that the U.S. is a country of 325 million. 25 hazing deaths in the past 10 years while tragic isn't an indication of a trend or a real danger.
