Red Dragon
I saw Red Dragon on Tuesday. I was not a big fan of this. I didn't think it had that much suspense to it and just wasn't the "smartest" of movies.
-Rudey --I am waiting on Igby Goes Down and 8 Mile |
"Igby Goes Down" has been out for about two weeks in my town... have you checked the "art" houses? It should be there if you live in a big city.
|
It has to be better than the first version of the movie, which was made 10 years ago or so, right after the book came out.
I recommend reading the book - it was quite good and predates Silence of the Lambs. |
I didnt think Red Dragon was already out!
Anyway, I think it looks SCARY!!! I have never seen Silence of the Lambs, but i saw Hannibal and that was just weird and disturbing, |
Ugh, PLEASE do not base your opinion of Silence of the Lambs on Hannibal. Hannibal was a horrendous movie. I really hope that Red Dragon is decent...I'm still debating whether or not to spend money to see it in the theater or to wait until it comes out on video.

Doesn't start till friday here :( I might have to watch Lambs and Hanibal right before going to see it

I went to the premier. They show a lot of movies at my school early on which get sponsored by big companies. Red Dragon was sponsored by Big Red gum and basically it's free and they give you a bunch of useless freebies after. Personally I wasn't a big fan of the movie. Some parts were redundant and the excitement too short-lived.
I didn't realize Igby goes down is already out. Now that movie looks impressive. -Rudey |
Loved Silence of the Lambs, was not a big fan of Hannibal, and from what I hear, Red Dragon isn't going to be much better.
Want to see Igby Goes Down and Moonlight Mile - both look really good. |
Rudey-Have you read the book? I'm curious to know how well they "match" up...
|
Igby Goes Down is impressive. Excellent cast who all turn in stellar performances. Kieran Culkin is absolutely wonderful as the disaffected, wealthy, totally lost Igby. Susan Sarandon is funny, menacing and believable as Igby's crazy mother.
Althought I will say it is not for everybody...do not go see Igby if you're in a "Sweet Home Alabama" kind of mood. It will be a bit too depressing for you. violets |
Moxie no I never read the books so I probably wouldn't be able to answer your questions. A lot of people said the books and the Silence of the Lambs movie were way better after the movie.
Violets, I thought Igby goes down was supposed to be a comedy. I haven't seen the commercials in so long i'm forgetting i guess. -Rudey |
Man, I wish my Red Dragon was gone already. Freaking cramps!
Oh, y'all were talking about a movie? ;) :o |
