International Brothers & Sisters

What countries have you accepted international brothers/sisters from? (international means they're in the US or Canada on a student visa from somewhere else)

While I was a student and off the top of my head:
Germany
Jamaica

We had an Austrialian pledge for awhile but the VSU internationl exchange program thing he came over here on did not allow any exchange students to become greeks. He was forced to quit.
That guy got all the women. They loved the voice. He was a cool guy. We called him Dingo. He still hung out with us until he had to go back to down under.

My freshman year, we had a Japanese guy. He was cool. Before I started school, there were two Irish guys. My roommate from sophomore year was raised in the states, but both parents were from Malaysia, and he was born in The Netherlands. Also, his dad was in the US Army, so he was born on an army base, and was thus born an American citizen.

Not quite the same thing, but we have several chapters in Korea.

We haven't had an international student pledge in recent memory - whether we have in the past I don't know.

The Sig Ep house on my campus is full of international students, mostly from the Subcontinent. They had a Korean member who had to return to Korea when he was drafted.

One of my active chapter sisters is Thai.

Two of my chapter sisters, who happen to be biological sisters, are from Venezuela. One has graduated and still lives in San Antonio, the other will be graduating this year and wants to move to Brazil.

We have a sister from Russia.

We have a brother from Japan. He's on some trip representing the Japanese embassy in Washington DC but will be back in a semester or two.

It's great to have a brother that stands up in meeting and quotes Confucious:D

one from Germany and another from Austria.
