Okay, so Christina Aguilera's new video.

That was....interesting.....in a really.....slutty....and unattractive way.....

I really liked that video the first time I saw it, when it was titled "Slave 4 U"

haven't seen that video yet.. is it on MTV already?

I just saw the "making of the video" on it. SPent the whole time like :o

I'm a dirty slut. Time to earn beads. *flash*

Haven't seen the video, but I do like the song though.

well i haven't seen the video, but it certainly took her long enough to come out with a follow-up CD. i am by no means a pop-music type girl, but with all the media out there, and Christina no where in it (except of course that Lady Marmalade song.. but before and since then..?) .. I thought she fell of the earth :p

ok.. don't mean to christina-bash for those of you who enjoy her music, but i have finally seen the MTV "Making the Video" for this particular thread.. and had a few observations:

* could she explain to me why she named her new CD "Stripped" again? Sorry, I didn't get it the first 500 times she explained it.. :confused: ;p

* so this is *really* what she was all about [musically] all along ??(listen to her explain the CD title) or is she just following pop culture again? first being a 'bubble gum princess' was the way to go musically.. and now showing even more skin and sounding somewhat sultry and being "dirty" is the way to go (as mentioned in lovelyivy84's original post... sounds/looks very familar to Brittney's video)...

* on a postive note, gotta give the girl "props" for writing her music and all that stuff.. many artists just sing what they are given :p

and yep have to agree with lovelyivy it was "interesting in a really slutty and unattractive way" :o

Can anyone tell me why the girl is orange?? Too much fake tanner? Or too many carrots? Someone please explain.

In her Making of the Video, it shows her in a shower scene basically humping one of her female dancers. I was like :eek:

I guess now that Britney went psycho (everyone heard about her Mexico incident right?) Christina decided it was time she made a comeback.

Two questions:

1) Why is Christina's album called "Stripped?"

2) What Britney Mexico incident?

There was article on it in TIME magazine last month (a real magazine not the Inquirer so the info is valid). As soon as she got off the place and saw the paparazzi, she started giving them the middle finger. Very weird for a girl that use to ham it up for the cameras. While on stage, she ran off in mid-stage. The audience started throwing stuff onstage and they were all screaming "fraud". She canceled the show claiming that it was because it was lightening out and she didn't want the equipment to get damaged. The next day she made a statement that she was taking a 6 month break. People magazine did an article on her next trying to figure out what exactly happened in Mexico. She basically said that the break up with Justin had taken a toll on her and all this other stuff. She also stated in the article that she loves being naked and hinted at posing. I could see her "comeback" being a Playboy stint (I'm sure the men on GC would not be opposed :) ).
Justin claimed on some radio talk show that he and Britney did the deed. DUH!

ROFL ChiOJenn, I was wondering the same thing.. maybe it's part of the "new" Christina although none of her fellow popsters sport the orange look..

on the other hand.. maybe she is trying to make herself stand out from the rest :p

:rolleyes: don't *even* get me started on Brittney :p Have you heard her wanna-be Madonna cover of "Open your heart" ? Hmmm.. let's just say some things were not to meant to be copied...

And as for LeslieAGD's question about why Christina's new CD is titled "Stripped" ...

as Christina reiterated 501 times on her "Making the video".. it's because that CD is full of music of who she really is. She never wanted to be a bubblegum princess.. so she is stripped metaphorically from what she wasn't and this is what she believes is her true self (for now anyway .. it will probably change once the next wave of popular music hits and she makes another CD :p )

I was thinking the same thing about Christina's new video...

She says that she is showing her true self and she didn't want to be a pop princess. But the truth is she is still exactly like Britney with a nice Crack Hoe-ish twist.

Yeah, I heard that the radio DJ promised to play his song fifty times in a row if he admitted that he and Britney slept togther...and he did. Talk about dirty! :rolleyes: Like everyone didn't know it already.
