Iota Zeta Sigma Alumnae Chapter (770) 879-2529 fax vanita.johnson@alumni.clemson.edu For Immediate Release Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority to Host 1st Annual Community Health Fair North Atlanta chapter collaborates with leading health organizations for free event North Atlanta, GA - September 30, 2002 - The ladies of the Iota Zeta Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., will sponsor their 1st Annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, October 5, 2002. This event, open to the public and free of charge, will take place at South Dekalb Mall (Decatur, GA) from 10 am until 3 pm. Iota Zeta Sigma member Georgette Solomon, health fair organizer, says the program is "directed towards health issues facing the community and providing South DeKalb residents with useful preventive health information." Patrons may find information on such prevalent health issues as breast and prostrate cancer, diabetes, arthritis, nutrition and sexually transmitted diseases. Representatives from several leading organizations, including the Arthritis Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, the Emory University Winship Cancer Institute and the Grady Health System, will be available to discuss health-related topics. In addition, the Diabetes Association of Atlanta will provide free diabetes screening and the Fulton County Health Department will provide free HIV testing. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is a non-profit service organization founded on the principle of "Greater Service, Greater Progress."
