CU-Info

Is anyone a member of a fraternity at the University of Colorado - Boulder; or does anyone have any information about greek life there?
I have researched the web sites about it, however I feel that I could gain a better perspective if someone who is attending (or attended) there responds.

Any information you can provide is, as always, greatly appreciated.

Faced with the Divine, I was asked; "What one gift do you seek?"
I answered ever so meekly; "I seek Honor, Truth, Integrity, and Wisdom, yet those are four. How am I to choose?"
The answer came as a pounding whisper; "The four you seek are but one. I grant thee Compassion; for without it the four make none."

Hey - kinda a small world.
I went to the University of Colorado. I enrolled, rushed and pledged in fall of '94 and graduated in the spring of '99. By the time I was fifth year I was pretty uninvolved with the campus but I can maybe give you some old info. (My first year we weren't a dry campus - things have changed a lot.)

Are you planning to rush in the fall? Are you an incoming freshman or a continuing student? Anyway - good luck to you. Here's what I know.

The old houses with years of strength would be Pi Kappa Alpha and Kappa Sigma. (Robert Redford was a Kappa Sig at CU.)

I would recommend you check out Pi Kappa Phi and Phi Delta Theta. Both are relatively new on campus, have gotten together some amazing numbers, and have developed a pretty good (gentlemanly) rep. Also check out Phi Kappa Psi - along the same lines but even newer.

Also - last I heard Phi Gamma Delta and Alpha Tau Omega were pretty strong.

As everyone likes to remind you - go in with an open mind and check out everybody. I've been gone for a while and my info might be old or incomplete. Also - "The best fraternity is the one where you feel the most at home." Good Luck.
