To Brothers of Iota -

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Dwayne Dixon (3AH80) and I am the National Director of Marketing for Iota Phi Theta.

I am also the moderator of this board and National Webmaster of for Iota. As such, I exercise sole authority of the upkeep, maintenance, and tone of this area of the Internet.

With that in mind, I'd like to reiterate the rules of engagement for this board:

"This forum has been developed as a means for site visitors to communicate with Iota and for Brothers to communicate with one another. Brothers are reminded that this is a public forum and that discretion should be practiced in all discussions conducted here."

Let me make it plainer:

1) This is a public forum and is accessible by anyone with a computer. Therefore, anything that is posted here is indicative of ALL of Iota Phi Theta.

2) This is not the "post a hoochie" or "lets see some booty" forum. This is a place for Fraternity-oriented communication that is suitable for the world to see.

3) This is not a place for sensitive discussion or esoteric communication.

I have tried to be tolerant and lenient toward Brothers expressing themselves. We cannot however, continue to have posts here that reflect poorly on the Fraternity.

Individuals who continue to violate these basic guidelines will have their access privileges to the board revoked and their IP addresses blocked.

I hope this is plain enough language for everyone to understand. If anyone has a problem with this, please feel free to contact me directly at: iotanet@aol.com

Thanks IotaNet. I have been debating about posting since it is the Iotas forum, but I was beginning to get a very negative perception of the fraternity of being single minded about one thing and one thing only.

We have to use this forum intelligently. This is a great communication vehicle for the us(Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc.), and the general public........ As he said: No esoteric communication, please!!
