Anyone rushing in CA?
 

Just wondering if anyone else out there is rushing a california school. Rush out here doesn't start for another 4 weeks for UC's, and cal states still have 2 or three weeks to go. Reading everone else's stories is getting me really excited (and nervous!) about rush. I'm not 100% sure if I'm rushing yet...I'm kinda worried about being a junior, and I've been getting a lot of negative feedback lately, especially from my mom, who refuses to pay for it, which means I'd probably end up spending most of my summer earnings on it. Does anyone have a good estimate of how much UC sororities tend to run? All I could find was $7000 avg. for room and dues. Thanks!

I think USC's rush starts right around labor day.

Don't know about the UC's--UCLA's is in October, I believe...?

Hi Sunny! I am going to be a Junior transfering into a cali school too. I am totally thinking about rushing, but my age is holding me back. Rush starts on the 20th of sept. here and bid night is the 25th I think. Where are you going to school?

hey, i know that all of you are girls, but i'm a guy who is rushing in ca. i will be a 3rd year (sophomore/junior type thing. yes, i am on the 5 year plan...) i am excited for rush to start! i think it starts on september 15th at my school.

I'm going to UCSB. Our rush starts sept. 18th, and bid day is the 23rd. Unfortunately, it's the week before classes, when everyone's just back from summer and things are crazy...but no real parties for me that week! Oh well...it'll be worth it! Where do you guys go to school?

Hi newbie :) I usually don't read the chit chat board, but thanks for posting to me, lol :) I am a big giants fan, I love baseball... the giants play down in San Diego (where I'm moving) about 3 weeks after I move in... it's during rush, so we'll see but I'd love to go see a giants game down there :) Are you a giants fan? or a baseball fan?
