What do when the roomates bed is a rockin'?

My roommate had some guy from home come and visit, and they've been in bed since 10... I'm so tired, I've been up since 6, and have to get up at 6 or so tomorrow... I've been in our kitchen since 10, and finally snuck out to the computer... This never happens, she doesn't bring home guys or anything, but does this happen to anyone else? I couldn't even take a shower tonight because all my clothes are by the bed... I would have went to sleep in the kitchen but we have bunk beds, and they were up top, and my alarm clock was below it, and if I didn't have it I know I would oversleep... I didn't ask her if I could sleep in the room, but I figured I'd be awkward if I was sleeping while they were doing stuff...

I was planning on staying awake the whole night, because it might not even be worth it to go to bed, but they are quieter now, so I think I'll try to sneak in bed and set the alarm...

Any suggestions if this ever happens again... sleep in the bathtub or something.

Your roommate is being pretty inconsiderate!

My roommates and I established some rules when we moved in together... one of which was "no overnight male guests in the room". We were in a suite, so if a guy came to visit (either a boyfriend or a relative or friend) we'd put him up on the sofa.

If one of us wanted to be with a boyfriend, she could as long as the other two roommates weren't in. We kept our door open whenever we were in, except for sleep and sex, so if you got home and the door was closed, you knocked.

Ah, the joys of having a single.

My freshman roommate and I had a pretty good Sexile arrangement. Either of us would be happy to leave with 24 hours' notice and as long as we didn't have any major reason why we needed to be in the room.

Sophomore year and beyond I didn't have a BF to worry about. All guys I hooked up with had singles, so we'd just go there.

Grab a sprite and a bag of popcorn and watch it all. :D That will stop it. :p

I would just pull her aside later and tell her that you didn't appreciate her little hook up. Establish some ground rules about male guests and ask her to give you a heads up when she plans to bring someone over.

LOL!!!

If the bed is a rockin', don't come a knockin'! Just kidding!

If I were you I would have a little chat with your roomie and tell her it would have been nice if she had given you a little bit of a warning. I think that was kind of disrespectful of her to not think about your situation. What did she expect you to do during her little mattress romp?

do you have a living room with a TV? If so, you can sleep there and set the TV to go on at a certain time to wake you up. It's certainly not an ideal situation but it beats not sleeping at all.

Pound on the door, or get some Barney CD's and play them at full volume. That usually kills the mood. :D

I used to put on a tape with the 1812 Overture or the Anvil and when things got really loud, I turned the volume WAY up. They got the hint by the second night and found a quieter way to spend their time.

Never shared a room with a roomie, though, except for freshman dorm, so no help there.

I say mock them with some fake moaning. That probably will embarrass them enough they won't don't it again when your there.

For some reason that comment reminds me of the movie Rain Man. :D

I kno wthis post is late, but go in and touch her ass. She'll freak enough (probably) long enough for you to get her attention. lol

Thanks for the advice. We talked, and everything is okay. They were "done" and were sleeping by 2, so she said that she was wondering when I was going to come to bed. She apologized and everything, so it's cool. She was embarrassed though, because my suitemate came home really drunk last night, and ended up walking in on them. If that wasn't bad enough, she was standing there talking, and they asked her to hand them the blanket, and she was like "Your underwear are on the floor! Oh my God! You are naked, like we didn't know! Everyone Lindsey is naked, she has no clothes on!" She then came into the kitchen with me, and you could hear them, and my suitemate yelled "I can hear you guys!" My roommate asked me this morning if we could hear her, and we were like "Uh, yeah..." and she was really embarrased...

I did get to bed at 4:30... and when I woke up he was gone, and he left our door unlocked... But now we've got rules...
