Transfer rush?
 

I just transferred to another uni. and really really wanted to participate in recruitment!

I moved in late though, and missed it :(

So do sororities have spring rush? Or would they even want me because I'm going to be older?

I'm classified as a soph. but in the spring I will be classified as a junior and will graduate in may '04.

Check with the Student Life office. It could be that the campus has deferred formal recruitment. If not, they can tell you which groups will be participating in informal recruitment throughout the semester.

Yes, most schools have spring rush. I was a transfer in the same place you are in when I joined Phi Sigma Sigma, and the sisters opened their arms and hearts to me....I felt so loved

I'm worried they won't want me because I will only have 3 semesters left (as opposed to a freshman who has 8 to contribute to the sorority)

I met a girl from one of the sororities here and the first question she asked me was "what is your classification" which kind of took me by surprise, but I guess I can understand their point of view.

I tried emailing the Panhellenic on campus, but have yet to recieve a response....

Definitely try to find out if any groups are doing COB (Continuous Open Bidding). Then you will have a better idea.
