Greek Unity
 

Good morning all!

As we know, part of being in a sorority or fraternity includes working together with other oraganizations as well as your own. For example, joint community service projects, mentorships, workshops on and off campus, fundraisers, parties, to name a few.

One fun example I have on this topic is about the first party I attended as an Hermana. All the Neos from every organization (that had Neos that spring) were taught a Unity Stroll just before the party.

Party night, the DJ congratulated us (which was our cue to begin the stroll) and then we all did the stroll TOGETHER. We had the same steps but at certain intervals we stopped moving, held up our prospective hand signs and did our organization's call.

We went around the room once on our own to the sound of cheers and shout outs: "You go #1", etc. Then, ALL greeks (old and new) joined in. It was a definite crowd pleaser to see diferent organizations strolling as one. It really set the pace for future relationships with each organization.

Anyway my question is: What has your organization done to foster greek unity on campus? I know for a fact that there is great work being done, so don't be shy.... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

Glad to hear that the greeks on your campus are working together! It's a breath of fresh air to hear that greeks are coming together.
