Cancled Classes!
 

has your class ever been cancled because it was not full? I am so pissed!!! i just got home from a fun night at a club and i had a message from my comm 365 teacher...my friday 11-230 class was cancled. he is giving me the opportunity to be in his TTh night class, but it sucks because i was counting on my firday class. anyway, has this happened to you before?

Yes, actually, this has happened to me, too! I thought it was the weirdest thing. Last semester I signed up for some kind of marketing class (because my advisor said I needed it), but when we went to class on the first day there was no teacher. Evidently it wasn't very high on the department's list of prioroties, because it took us forever to find someone who could explain what was going on. They--you know, the powers that be--promised us that we would have a prof by the following week. Well, guess what...the next week came, and we had no professor, of course. The department claimed that they couldn't find anyone to teach that section, so they canceled it. I ended up having to take the class at 7:30 at night, which was a real pain in the ass, especially since I had to walk a pretty smart piece in the dark, by myself, while it was freezing outside. Nice, huh?

Yeah, i've had classes cancelled before too; my very first semester in university! during the summer everything was ok, but when i moved in to rez i already had mail...it was a letter saying one of my *required* classes was cancelled. And it was not replaced....i guess they thought it really wasn't that important. but as fate would have it, that allowed me to take a class i never would have otherwise, which led to me changing my major to something i actually enjoyed!!

the summer after my freshman year i decided to take english 101 in the early evening..the first day of class i got there, there were probably about 9 other people in the class..we all sat there for about 20-30 mins or so and the prof. never showed up...there was no sign on the door, no one called to inform us the class was canceled..i had to call the english dept. the next day to inquire whether it was or not..suffice to say i was pretty pissed

growl, yes i have had classes cancelled.. i hate that so much.. it fit in PERFECTLY to my schedule and they cancelled it because there wasn't enough interest.. GRRR...
one of my sisters had one of the classes she needs to graduate in december cancelled.. she'l have to take it in teh spring.. boy was SHE pissed :rolleyes:
