Individual Threads for each Rushee
I was thinking it might be a good idea for each of the ladies participating in fall rush to start her own thread and title it with her screen name and school. For example, CRMSNTiDEGRL717 - U of Alabama (sorry Liz, you were a handy example!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif )
Then she can post on that thread whenever she has an update she wants to share with us. Just a suggestion of course! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Best of luck to all of you!!! ------------------ @~Tracy~@ "...For it's just the flame of a sister's love, that makes the world go round." GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE DZ COLLEGIANS DURING RUSH!!! [This message has been edited by KillarneyRose (edited August 13, 2001).] |
thats a great idea. I enjoyed reading bucutie's (sorry had to use you as an example) and others rush stories.

hey all,
I think thats a golden idea. I think each lady having her own thread will help out future rushee'sand just so some of us can see how your doing http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif Good thinking Killarney Rose http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif thumbs up~ DGPhoney~ Oh, I forgot to mention" Good Luck Ladies with Fall Rush " |
Ooh, that is a fabulous idea! This will be like reading an anthology! C'mon rushees, let's hear your stories!
|
Sounds good, but hopefully in these threads girls will talk about their rush experience bc lately a lot of girls have been asking questions that have already come up a lot. Whereas instead of always posting a new question they could look it up using the seacrh engine.
Yes, I do want to hear about their rush experience though. |
Wouldn't it be better to start a thread called "Recruitment Experiences" and the girls can start their post by saying "Patty PNM from ABC University" instead of having a thread for every single girl?
|
I agree - one thread per girl would get hard to manage.

I don't know, I like the idea of one thread per rushee. This would keep the stories seperated and organized. This way we could see what their thoughts are and respond in their thread rather than making some 358 post thread about 5 different people or whatever.

3 things,
1. Lumping everyone into one or two huge threads would be way too confusing and un-organized 2. I still like the idea of being able to give everyone personal attention. So what if there are a lot of threads, it would be cool to read everyones rush stories all the way through. 3. If any of the rushees have a question, they can ask it in their own threads rather than having people asking the same questions as threads. |
I like the idea of individual threads for each rushee...by the time Rush rolls around, most of the "conversation" and "attire" threads will have settled to the bottom, so it should be okay, and not THAT confusing.

I think it's a great idea Tracy!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gifMy rush doesn't start for a little less than a month, but I'll remember and start my own thread!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif You're great Tracy http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

Here's another vote for one thread per rushee. Keep in mind that every school holds rush at a slightly different time - so how many people will be going through rush on a given day? Probably only a handful.
Good luck to everyone, on both sides of rush http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif |

Good idea! Formal rush doesn't start until January for me, so I won't clutter the rush forum at the moment. I might start my own thread in September because that's when IU has its Greek Opportunities for Women session, and I'll just tell you all what I thought about it.
